The Small Tree PXG4 server card allows you to expand the network connectivity of your Mac systems. The PXG4 provides the ability to significantly increase the network bandwidth from your system, enabling you to support larger projects effortlessly. The PXG4 card supports jumbo frames, flow control and VLAN features which provides further improvements in performance with low CPU utilization. The PXG4 Gigabit Ethernet ports will support Mac OS X's built-in link aggregation software in combination with the internal Gigabit Ethernet ports of the system. The PXG4 card will transparently load balance among all linked Gigabit Ethernet ports and seamlessly fail over if one or more ports or cables becomes disabled. Must be using OS X 10.4.11 or later. This Product is NOT compatible with Intel Xserve System.

64-bit/133Mhz PCI-X network interface cards containing two, four or six independent 10/100/1000 megabit ports on one PCI-X adapter. The Gigabit adapters are the perfect solution for a cost effective, instant performance boost over your existing Category 5 UTP copper cabling for getting high-powered networking. Its independent 1000/100/10 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide users of data-intensive applications with the highest levels of system performance together with extra redundancy. Performance: the Gigabit Adapters are faster and wider With a 133Mhz host PCI-X connection, the adapters are faster. With a true 64-bit interface, the adapters widen the network pipeline and allows higher throughput. Together, the 64-bit interface and 133Mhz bus speed significantly reduce system overhead.
