Final Cut Pro with Xsan
The Apple Xsan is optimized for Macs and Mac servers with OS X version 10.5 or later. It can be interfaced using multiple Intel or PowerPC G5 processors. This provides limitations as far as the diversity of computers within your network.
The Xsan is also designed specifically for fibre channel, which will give you a very fast connection for your Final Cut pro users. Unfortunately, fibre channel is quite expensive and more difficult to customize. You will also need to add several Gigabytes of RAM to your computer, as well as an Apple fibre channel card, to keep your system operating at necessary speeds.
