The Small Tree PXG2F server card provides two optical Gigabit Ethernet ports allowing you to connect to optical networks from your Power Mac G4, Power Mac G5, Xserve G4 or Xserve G5 system. The PXG2F supports jumbo frames which provides an immediate performance increase on large transfers. The PXG2F Gigabit Ethernet Ports will support Mac OS X's built in link aggregation software in combination with the internal Gigabit Ethernet ports of the system. The PXG2F will operate transparently with non optical Gigabit Ethernet ports ensuring that no application changes are required. The optical output of the PXG2F will support standard Gigabit Ethernet connections of up to 550 meters. Must be using OS X 10.5.8. This Product is NOT compatible with Intel Xserve System.
