AoE Technology

Small Tree's EasyAoE solutions were created for Mac shared storage requirements and specifically for editing environments. EasyAoE is an simple block storage protocol that inserts ATA disk command directly into Ethernet frames, without burdening the packet with unnecessary TCP/IP overhead. The solutions are easy to install and they work with standard Ethernet NIC's and switches. You can use AoE storage just like a locally attached disk, but gain the benefits of network storage without the complexity and expense of alternative SAN technologies like Fibre Channel.
